In times of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is also more difficult to ventilate an injured diver. To minimise contact with the diver, resuscitators are a good solution. However, their use is not necessarily taught in first aid courses. This recommendation for action is intended to serve as a guideline for training in the use of resuscitation bags.
In addition to Recommendation 2.1 on the use of scientific divers in the context of a SARS-CoV-2 infection or COVID-19 disease, we have compiled further useful information here. This page is of course dynamic and will be added, changed etc. as soon as new information is available. So check back from time to time.
We encourage all companies to have divers and other persons directly involved in a scientific diving assignment fill out a binding voluntary self-declaration on the personal status of a possible SARS- CoV-2 infection / COVID-19 disease before each assignment.
