New Recommendation for Action "Use of resuscitators"

In times of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is also more difficult to ventilate an injured diver. To minimise contact with the diver, resuscitators are a good solution. However, their use is not necessarily taught in first aid courses. This recommendation for action is intended to serve as a guideline for training in the use of resuscitation bags.

KFT-Recommendation for the use of scientific divers during the COVID-19 pandemie

UpdateNew Recommendation for Action 2 Version 2 from 14.11.2020

This recommendation for action was written by the Commission for Research Diving Germany in close cooperation with the medical expert of the Examination Commission for Research Diving and is addressed to all scientific divers and to all institutes and scientific facilities involved in scientific diving operations. The overarching goal of the KFT recommendation for action is to protect employees who are involved in scientific diving from health hazards caused by an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Recommendation for Action 2 Version 2 COVID-19

We encourage all companies to have divers and other persons directly involved in a scientific diving assignment fill out a binding voluntary self-declaration on the personal status of a possible SARS- CoV-2 infection / COVID-19 disease before each assignment.

Self Declaration COVID-19
